It seems Shanghai SIPG coached by ex-Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas has a thing for players with a link to Chelsea.
After completing the transfer of Chelsea playmaker Oscar for a fee of £60 million, Shanghai SIPG has now snapped Chelsea legend Ricardo Carvalho.
38-year-old Carvalho moved to Shanghai SIPG on a free transfer after he was released by French outfit Monaco.
Carvalho moved to Chelsea in 2004 for a fee of £20 million and made 210 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 11 goals. His partnership with Terry at the heart of our defence helped us win back to back league titles in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons.
