Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel joined Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven this January after overcoming an injury that kept him on the treatment table during the first half of the season.
Van Ginkel scored on his debut as his loan club PSV Eindhoven defeated SC Freiburg in a friendly on Sunday.
PSV Eindhoven head coach Phillip Cocu revealed after the game that he was delighted with Van Ginkel’s performance.
Cocu said: “Marco played a fine game. In the beginning, he had to take some getting used to us. Then you see that he has experience, so he quickly adjusted.
“Marco has qualities that we can use very well. And there are now more choices for us.
“If he wants to make a step further than PSV, he needs to prove himself in games.”
