Chelsea are five points clear at the top of the league after a woeful 2015/16 season and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admits Chelsea’s performance this season have been better than expected after a bad season last year.

“The season is going very well and we are happy with the points,” Courtois told Chelsea’s official website.

“With the run of wins, we can say we are doing better than expected after a bad season last year.

“We are top of the league with far more points than we had at this time last year, or even two years ago when we were champions in the end. So that says we are doing well.”
