There’ll be no Premier League action this weekend, and Chelsea will host Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
Blues third-choice goalkeeper Eduardo, who joined Chelsea during the summer transfer window after winning the Euros with Portugal, is hoping to play against Brentford.
The 34-year-old is yet to play a game for Chelsea this season, and according to the Mirror, Portugal keeper Eduardo will plead with Antonio Conte to give him an FA Cup lifeline.
Begovic has been linked with a move this January, and Bournemouth have placed a bid of £10 million, that was rejected by Chelsea.
The Telegraph claim that Conte will make a decision on Begovic after the FA Cup game, and Eduardo is hoping that Chelsea boss Conte could even give him the chance to play against Brentford in the FA Cup on Saturday.
