Chelsea have two tough games coming up in the Premier League, as the Blues will play Liverpool at Anfield on January 31st, before welcoming London rivals Arsenal to Stamford Bridge on February 4th.
However, Antonio Conte’s focus is on the FA Cup fourth round clash against Brentford. The Chelsea manager’s comments clearly show that he’s taking the FA Cup seriously, and the competition is a priority to him.
“We play two very tough games against two rivals for the league, but for me now my focus and concentration is to go into the next round of the FA Cup, and I hope the same thought is in the mind of my players.
“Every competition must be a priority for us. To have another competition with the league is very important, because also this season we didn’t play in the Champions League or the Europa League.
“Tomorrow it’s an opportunity for me to see many players that are not playing, but we want to win and go into the next step. I try to make the best decision with our team tomorrow.
“This competition is the oldest competition in the world,” Conte added. “You know better than me in the FA Cup anything can happen, above all if you don’t play with the right concentration and focus.
“It will be tricky, but we want to play a good game and advance into the next round.”
