Former Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage believes Chelsea got N’Golo Kante from Leicester City on the cheap.

The 42-year-old who now works as a pundit, believes the £32 million Chelsea paid for his services was a steal.

“You can see some of the prices for other players and it was only £32million for a guy who was instrumental in a 5000/1 side to win the Premier League (and went on to win it),” he told Goal.

“He was a huge influence (at Leicester), huge. His protection for (Wes) Morgan, (Robert) Huth and the full-backs was great and as Leicester concede more goals this year, it goes to show the benefits on the Chelsea side.”

Kante has been a big hit since his move to Chelsea, and will return to the King Power stadium for the first time on Saturday, as Chelsea will be away to Leicester City in the Premier League.
