Few hours after Diego Costa’s reported row with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, the media has been buzzing with who should replace the talismanic striker, and former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has throwed in his own opinion.
Jenas believes former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will perfectly replace Costa if he leaves for China.
Jenas, who was in the studio with Everton star Yannick Bolasie, was quizzed on Radio Five Live over who could replace Costa for the table topping Blues.
Bolasie said: “I can’t see another forward coming in and doing what Costa’s doing.”
Jenas then dived in and said: “I’ll tell you who could do a job. Lukaku.”
Bolasie replied: “He’s out of bounds!”
To which Jenas said: “Not for £50m he’s not.”
It’s pretty too early to start talking of replacing Costa. For me, I’d prefer the row ends this weekend and we concentrate on winning the league, with Diego Costa leading the charge.
