Diego Costa has received an irresistible offer from China to dump Stamford Bridge this January, but former United States international and now pundit Janusz Michallik reckons the 28-year-old will stay put, and has told China to stay put until the end of the season, if they really want the Chelsea forward.
He told ESPN: “I think it would be a great move in terms of money, I mean I wouldn’t turn it down.
“But I think he can wait for that.
“For Chelsea it’s important that he stays with the team. The team need him to stay and help them to win the title.
“That move could happen in the summer. If [China] love him that much, they will wait for him.
“But for me, in January there’s no possibility.”
Costa is in line to play against Hull City on Sunday, having missed last weekend’s clash with Leicester City.
