So tonight, the long awaited and much talked about fixture between us and Liverpool takes centre stage. Chelsea have been in great form, only losing once in the league since the game against Arsenal. Liverpool, on the other hand, haven’t been too impressive. They were title contenders at a time, but that was before they lost steam. The Reds have lost 3 matches on the bounce (in all competitions), and go into this fixture as the underdog. But of course, you can’t rule out the possibility of them pulling off something impressive since they’re at home.

In the reverse fixture, they won us 1-2, even though I thought it was a lucky win. We were better for most of the second period, and were only unlucky to not get a point. It was also the start of the season, before we found our winning formula. This time around, with tables turned, I don’t expect anything short of a win for us. We have even more at stake in this game apart from our reputation. We have to get all the points we can muster in both games against Liverpool and Arsenal. Costa and Hazard were rested in the FA cup tie this past weekend, and we expect them to come do their magic. I don’t want to mention a score line, but I think we’ll win the game, and keep the momentum going.

Good luck, Chelsea!

King Jay is a writer/broadcaster with years of experience under his belt. His love affair with Chelsea actually began as a joke, but today, he stands tall as a die-hard blue. What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
