Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Swansea striker Fernando Llorente. Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Spaniard, and saw him as a good backup to Diego Costa, as he aims to continue Chelsea’s charge to the title.
Reports of Conte’s bust-up with Costa led to an increase in speculation that Chelsea will land the forward. However, with Costa’s short-term future sorted out, the deal now seems unlikely.
According to the Bleacher Report, Swansea are unwilling to do business with Chelsea over Llorente. Llorente is an important figure in the side as the Swans attempt to turn around a poor first half of the season.
The fact Chelsea only want him on loan to boost their own chances of winning the Premier League title has left Swansea unimpressed, so no deal looks likely.
