Loic Remy made his first Premier League start of the season on Saturday for Crystal Palace, as Sam Allardyce played him up front alongside Christian Benteke in Crystal Palace’s 1-0 defeat to Everton. He lasted an hour on the pitch before being replaced.

Tammy Abraham was in the starting line-up for Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, a result which leapfrogged Forest above the Robins, who have slipped to 20th in the Championship table. Despite Abraham’s goals this season, his loan club are now in relegation troubles. Despite a good start to the season, the Robins are now in a relegation fight and are just 2 points above Blackburn in 23rd spot.

For Izzy Brown, he netted his first goal for Huddersfield in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town. The 20-year-old scored an impressive solo goal for his new club, going on a beautiful solo run before hitting the net with power and precision.

Tomas Kalas and Lucas Piazon both started Fulham’s west London derby against Queens Park Rangers, a 1-1 draw at Loftus Road.

In League One, Fankaty Dabo, Charlie Colkett and Islam Feruz all started for Swindon in a 1-0 defeat against Peterborough.

In La Liga, Jeremie Boga played the first half of Granada’s 3-1 defeat at Espanyol. In the Netherlands, Marco van Ginkel was on target for PSV, scoring the equaliser to make it 3-3 against Heerenven and his team went on to score a late winner.

In the Bundesliga, Andreas Christensen started at the back for Borussia Monchengladbach in their goalless draw at Darmstadt, while Michael Hector and Eintracht Frankfurt endured a difficult weekend as they lost to high-flying RB Leipzig 3-0, after their keeper has been sent off.

In the Serie A, Mario Pasalic was part of the side that lost 2-1 at home to Napoli this weekend.

In the Dutch league, Matt Miazga came off the bench at half-time to help Vitesse secure a point away at Groningen.
