Kick Off: Sunday, January 22, 2017. 16:30 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

All is now set for Chelsea to extend the gap at the top of the table, after 4 title rivals dropped points on the same day. Liverpool lost to Swansea, Manchester United had to come from behind to draw Stoke City 1-1, while Manchester City drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur.

For Chelsea, it’ll be a tricky 1st vs 19th encounter, as Marco Silva seems to have lifted Hull City from their shambolic displays.

Chelsea will look to go on another run of wins, as the Blues are yet to drop points in all competitions, since the 2-0 loss to Tottenham. For Hull City, they look a different side, as they have won two of their last 3 games (in all competitions); a 3-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend, was a surprising one.

Hull City just gained promotion to the league this season, and the last time the Tigers were in the Premier League was 2 seasons ago, and they lost both legs of this encounter — suffering a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

In their last two seasons in the top flight division (2014/2015 and 2013/2014), Hull City lost all 4 games against Chelsea.

While Chelsea are soaring at Stamford Bridge, Hull have lost their last eight league games away, making this game look like an easy one for the Blues.

There’s a huge contrast between both sides. While Chelsea have won 14 of their last 15 Premier League games, Hull only earned their first league victory in 10 games at the expense of Bournemouth last weekend.

Worst still, Hull have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 19 Premier League matches.

Chelsea have been dominant at home this season, and are looking for an eighth consecutive home win in the league.

My prediction: I just can’t see Hull City stopping Chelsea. Chelsea 4 vs 0 Hull City.
