Manchester United are currently 14 points behind Chelsea in the Premier League, and with just 16 games to go, United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that it would be impossible to catch up with table-topping Chelsea.

United’s focus is on winning the other competitions, as Chelsea have been too dominant in the league, Mourinho revealed.

“In a realistic way I think the Premier League is almost an impossible mission,” Mourinho said.

“But I don’t think about it, I just think about winning the next match in the Premier League and the next match is not an impossible mission.

“It’s the way we are thinking in the Premier League, in the League Cup we have a 50 per cent chance of winning it, in the FA Cup we are in last 16, in the Europa League we are in the last 32, so lots of matches to play.”
