For two transfer windows in a row, Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has been linked with a move to Chelsea, but the move didn’t materialise on both occasions, and the Belgian international chose to stay in the Italian capital.
Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the tough-tackling midfielder, but the 28-year-old has ruled out the possibility of him leaving the Stadio Olimpico.
“I made a lifestyle choice, I’ve been in Italy for 12 years,” Nainggolan told Sky Italia.
“I feel respected here, and I didn’t want to leave all this. I’m happy where I live.”
According to Metro, the Roma midfielder said going to Chelsea is no longer an option. He said: “Going to Chelsea? It is no longer an option.”
“Staying with Roma was a life decision.
“I made a lifestyle choice, I have learned so much here.
“I have no great desire to start over new anywhere else.”
