Pedro has started as a wing-back for Chelsea on two occasions, both of them in the FA Cup, and after a very good display against Brentford on Saturday, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte admitted that his performance as a wing-back has given him new problems to think about.
Pedro played the role with much energy, and he ran up and down the right flank like it was an easy meal. He capped the performance with a goal, and a satisfied Conte has admitted that Pedro’s effort as a wing-back is just as good to give him selection headache.
As reported by Metro, the Chelsea boss said: “We are finding out a great player that can play in different positions. To see him as a wing-back is not usual, like Moses at the start of the season. It shows me he has great commitment, form and quality.
“Pedro plays very well as a wing-back or as a winger. Now I have a problem for Tuesday!”
