It wasn’t the most exciting 3-0 victory you would see, but Chelsea produced a very sound and effective display in defence and attack to whip Claudio Ranieri’s men.

See how the players fared:

Courtois: The Belgian is turning into a Mr Reliable in goal for Chelsea. Didn’t have much to do today, but produced two good saves the two times he was needed. 7/10

Luiz: Didn’t have much to do at the back today; did his bit to help keep a clean sheet at the King Power Stadium. 7/10

Cahill: Minus one error at the back today, the Chelsea captain was pretty much solid, and could have found the net with a beautiful overhead kick in the second half. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Good display to help shore things up at the right side of defence, and help provide cover for Moses whenever he went forward. 7/10

Kante: Didn’t come across a powerful Leicester midfield; so he didn’t have to do much. But in all, he produced a good display and covered lots of ground for the team. 7/10

Matic: Misplaced many passes and was sloppy in possession, but grew into the game as Chelsea got the second goal. 6/10

Moses: Impressive second half display from Victor Moses. Pushed high up at will and kept the left side of Leicester’s defence busy. 7/10

Alonso: Definitely his best game for Chelsea. Scored a brace and almost got a hatrick. Was probably the most exciting player for Chelsea today and made the left flank his. 9/10

Willian: Didn’t have enough space in the first half to cause havoc, but got better in the second half, and provided the assist for Pedro’s goal. 7/10

Pedro: Nice flick, as he combined with Willian to score Chelsea’s third goal. Worked hard for the team. 8/10

Hazard: It wasn’t his day today, and didn’t do enough to replace Diego Costa upfront. Was always closed down by Leicester’s defence, but he showed some glimpses of his class. His deft and unselfish pass paved way for Alonso to open the scoring. 6/10

Fabregas: Replaced Hazard with 12 minutes left, and kept passing the ball around in his usual fashion.

Batshuayi: Came on for Willian with just 6 minutes left to play.

Loftus-Cheek: Replaced Pedro on the 84th minute.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
