Chelsea’s defence have been rock solid this season, and the Blues have conceded just 15 goals in 21 games played.

Former Premier League and Wales defender Danny Gabbidon, who’s now a pundit, believes Chelsea’s secret weapon in defence is Thibaut Courtois.

He told Sky Sports: “It’s always great as a defender when you’ve got a really confident keeper behind you.

“If you make a mistake and the keeper’s called in to make a save and he’s making them then it’s great defensively.

“It gives the central defenders a lot of confidence knowing you’ve got a good keeper behind you go get you out of trouble when you make the odd mistake.”
