Brentford will surely shake in fear when next they hear the name Stamford Bridge. The last time they visited Stamford Bridge, they went home with a 4-0 whooping, and we experienced a Deja Vu yet again on Saturday evening.

Goals from Willian, Pedro, Ivanovic and Batshuayi gave Chelsea a 4-0 win, despite the changes Conte made to the starting lineup, and the Chelsea boss was pleased with the performance of the team.

He said after the game: “It was a good result for us. When you win 4-0 it’s a good result, and when you score many goals and you don’t concede. In this case Asmir Begovic was very good, he made two good saves.

“I must be pleased because when you change nine players you can see all the players, all the squad are totally involved in our idea of football, our project. That’s very important.

“This competition until now has been an opportunity for me to put players in that are not playing a lot in this period for us. It was also very important to see the right reply of these players and it happened. I’m very happy.

“We have to try to arrive at the end of the competition if we are able. If we win we will deserve this. We are ready to fight. We will see the draw – I hope to play the next game at home again.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
