John Mikel Obi has been deemed unwanted at Chelsea, and Valencia are ready to sign the midfielder this January.
Mikel’s contract with Chelsea runs out during the summer, and according to Daily Mail, Valencia sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has revealed he met with Mikel to put forward a proposal a little over a week ago.
Pitarch said: “In the case of Obi Mikel, with Chelsea’s permission, I met with him in London on Christmas Day
“I informed him of the option [of joining Valencia]. He said he would think about it.”
Mikel is yet to play for Chelsea this season, and a lot of clubs are interested in landing the Nigerian international.
