Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has reportedly been a target for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and according to a report by Chilean paper El Mercurio via Daily Star, the Chelsea board have agreed to move for Vidal.
Conte worked with Vidal while he was boss at Juventus and he has reportedly been in contact with Vidal about a move to Chelsea.
Vidal has reportedly started learning English as he hopes a transfer to Chelsea would work out and according to the report, Conte has been calling Vidal regularly as he steps up effort to convince Vidal about joining Chelsea.
A source told the paper: “Chelsea has been following Arturo Vidal for some time.
“He is one of the signings marked by Conte and the leadership agrees to take him to England.”
The report claims Bayern Munich’s asking price for Vidal is £56million.
