Despite being away from European competitions this season, Chelsea have a favourable festive fixture, as the Blues will play 3 games in about 9 days, while many clubs tend to play the same number of games in 7 and 8 days.
The spacing means Chelsea players will have enough time to rest and prepare for every game, which is something that’s troubling the man our former boss famously called “a specialist in failure”.
According to BBC Sport, Wenger said: “In 20 years, it is the most uneven Christmas period I have seen on the fixture front
“The difference of rest periods is absolutely unbelievable; compared to the other teams, it is unbelievable.”
