Chelsea beat Swansea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with the goals coming Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Diego Costa.
Fabregas was adjudged the man of the match after a very impressive display. However, Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been an unsung hero in our dominance this season was among the top performers on Saturday, but his performance yet again was unsung.
With Chelsea’s defence being pretty comfortable against Swansea, bar the Fernando Llorente header, Azpilicueta found enough time to help the team’s attack.
Interestingly, the Spaniard completed 90 passes in the game; he had the most completed number of passes, while Cesc Fabregas came second with 89 completed passes.
Azpilicueta also made the third highest passes in the final third of Swansea’s half, with 20 passes, only behind Hazard (36) and Fabregas (34).
