Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake, returned to the club in January after Antonio Conte decided to cut short his loan spell with Bournemouth.
Ake came through the ranks at Feyenoord before impressing Chelsea scouts at the Willem II youth tournament back in 2012, and he was invited to the club as a 15-year-old where he met Didier Drogba.
He revealed what the Chelsea legend told him when he first met him.
“He was training outside,” the Netherlands Under-21 starlet told the Daily Mail.
“We saw him and he came over to say hello. My Dad is a shy person but he was more shy than usual; a bit intimidated, I think.
“His family is from the Ivory Coast and Drogba is a big hero.
“Drogba just said: ‘If you want to win trophies and be at a big club then join us.’”
