Burnley became the first team to score a direct free-kick against Chelsea since 2013.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed Burnley worked on free-kicks all week as they prepared to face Chelsea.

“Really? What’s that all about?” Dyche said when he was told Chelsea had not conceded a goal direct from a free-kick in four seasons.

“You see they don’t know that we’d been working on that all week. Thank you.

“I didn’t know that but it was a sublime free-kick against a top-class goalkeeper, who is a giant of a man. To find the area of the goal that he needed to was fantastic.”
