Chelsea tried to sign Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon during the January transfer window but had two bids for the goalkeeper rejected.
Gordon’s Celtic contract is expected to run out at the end of the season though Celtic have a one-year option on him.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers insisted Gordon would sign a new Celtic contract with only minor details in the improved contract still to be thrashed but it appears that isn’t the case at the moment.
According to a Daily Mail report, contract talks between Gordon and Celtic have been shelved until the end of the season after both parties failed to reach an impasse.
Even though Celtic are adamant Gordon isn’t for sale, stories of talks collapsing have sparked speculation Gordon might be a Chelsea player at the end of the season.
