CHELSEA COACH BELIEVES THE U18 TEAM SHOULD HAVE WON BRIGHTON U18 MORE THAN 16-0

Chelsea youth team defeated Brighton U18 13-0, which is in present history the biggest margin a Chelsea youth team have won.

Youth coach Jody Morris was happy with the win, but he believes that the team wasted a lot of chances, and could have won by a higher margin than that.

Morris felt his side ought to have beaten the record 16-0 win from 1959 with more composure and ruthlessness in front of goal.

“I’m not being flash or anything like that but we weren’t very clinical in front of goal,” he told the official Chelsea website. “The lads missed a hatful of chances in the first half and we could have scored even more in the second. I’ve been saying since the beginning of the season that if we click against the right team then someone could be in for a hiding but it could have been even more.”

Come on Morris! Have mercy.
