According to a report by Daily Mirror, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has identified Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow as the man to replace Asmir Begovic, who is set to leave Chelsea in the summer.
Conte sees 26-year-old Darlow as a good competition for Thibaut Courtois and Chelsea reportedly tried to sign the goalkeeper during the January transfer window after failed bids to sign Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Even though Newcastle insisted Darlow wasn’t for sale in January, it is reportedly believed that Newcastle will change their stance on the goalkeeper during the summer.
Chelsea will reportedly bid £8million for Darlow in the summer.
