Chelsea boss Antonio Conte tried to sign Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata during the summer but Real Madrid refused to listen to offers for the Spanish striker.
24-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Real Madrid due to his lack of playing time and reports linking him with a move to Chelsea have resurfaced yet again.
Speaking ahead of Madrid’s Champions League clash with Napoli, Morata dropped another big hint that he isn’t happy with life at Real Madrid.
“I’m happy and I want to triumph at Real Madrid, but it’s also true that I would like to be playing more,” Morata told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport via Metro UK.
“Now we have to try to win the league and the Champions League; after that, we’ll see if the coach is counting on me or not.”
Morata has played second fiddle to Benzema at Real Madrid.
