Former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti, is set to take charge of his 1000th game when Bayern Munich play Hamburg this weekend.

The Italian managed Chelsea for two seasons, and won the league and FA Cup double in his first season in charge of the Blues.

Current Blues boss Antonio Conte, has hailed his fellow Italian for such a great feat.

He said: “It’s a great achievement for Carlo. For me he is a great friend. He was my manager at Juventus, and now he is the best Italian coach, one of the best in the world.

“One thousand games – it’s not easy to stay on the bench and at this level, and at these great teams with responsibility to win every game.

“For sure his career is great. I hope to try to go close to his career!”
