Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, has officially retired from playing football. The 38-year-old called quits on his playing career, and has chosen to go into management.
About his managerial ambitions, Conte said: “I don’t know his thoughts, when you decide to finish it’s important to take a bit of time to decide and make the best decision.
“In football he can decide which is the best way for him.”
Conte then went on to praise Lampard on his illustrious career.
“The whole world of football is disappointed when this happens, a great player finishes his career,” Conte said.
“For this club he’s a legend, played 13 years, won a lot here. We must respect his decision. Every player understands the right moment to finish.
“I have great, great respect. I didn’t know him but I’ve heard a lot of positive things.”
