Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho appeared to aim a dig at Conte’s side after Manchester United beat Watford 2-0 on Saturday. Speaking after the game, he said: “Chelsea are a very good defensive team.
“They defend very well and with lots of players and I think in this situation a very defensive team wins the title with counter-attack goals and set pieces goals so I don’t think they will let it slip but football is football.”
Antonio Conte was in no mood for childish jokes, as he refused to hit back at the former Chelsea manager.
The Italian maturely responded to Mourinho’s jibes: “Yeah [I heard it], but I don’t like to reply to other coaches.
“I don’t like this jokey play. I have a bit of experience about this.”
