Chelsea’s affinity with Italy seems to go way back, and Antonio Conte is the fifth Italian to have managed the club.

Before Conte took the job as Chelsea manager, he revealed that he talked to three Italian legends – legends Carlo Ancelotti, Gianluca Vialli and Gianfranco Zola.

“Before I arrived at Chelsea I have spoken to Carlo [Ancelotti],” Conte said in an interview with Chelsea Pitch Owners.

“And then in the last six months I saw Luca [Vialli] – we had dinner – and also Gianfranco [Zola], more times than before he became the manager of Birmingham – now he is very busy.”

Surely, he’d be happy that he took their advice, as his team are about to win the Premier League, in just his first season in charge.
