Eden Hazard was the man of the match against Arsenal, and his goal against the Gunners is definitely a strong contender for goal of the season.
Despite having a great game in the London derby match last weekend, Antonio Conte replaced the 26-year-old with Cesc Fabregas (who also came in and scored).
Conte has finally revealed the reason for his substitution.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Burnley game, Conte said: “When I make a substitution there is always a reason.
“In the last game I wanted him to get great applause from our fans because he deserved it after the game he played, not only with the ball but above all without it. Sometimes I try to preserve my players, sometimes it’s a technical choice.”
True to his words, Hazard got a rousing ovation from the Stamford Bridge faithful.
