Chelsea are through to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, after a 2-0 win against Wolves. Despite Chelsea’s progression to the next round, Antonio Conte still warned the players.
Chelsea’s win against Wolves was very difficult, and it had prints of the 1-1 draw against Burnley, which made Conte to warn his players that there aren’t easy games anymore in England.
Conte said: “So far for sure [the toughest]. This challenge was very tough, but after the result this afternoon I tried to warn the changing room about the difficulty of this game, of this competition. I like to repeat in England in every competition there isn’t an easy game. I like to repeat this, it is the truth.
“We were very good to suffer in the first half, because Wolverhampton started very well with a great intensity to try to develop the play in the flank and put a lot of crosses in. I think we defended very well, they hit the post after five or six minutes.
“In the second half we played our football, we played very well, we scored two goals. Wolverhampton deserve my compliments for their performance because they played very well and showed good organisation, character and intensity throughout the game.”
