Prior to the game against Burnley, much emphasis was placed on Burnley’s home record; the Clarets had won 10 of their last 13 games heading into that game, and had the third best home record in the league.
Thibaut Courtois admitted that Blues boss Antonio Conte made them aware of Burnley’s form at home, heading into the match.
“Before we came here the manager pointed out they’d picked up 28 points at home, a lot of teams have dropped points against them,” Courtois admitted.
“If we could have got the victory it would have been very nice but in the winter it gets harder with the pitches not being in the best conditions to play. We did our best to win but unfortunately Burnley played well so we have to be happy with the point.”
