Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, missed Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Wolves on Saturday due to illness.

The Sun claim Courtois’ absence was down to a severe sickness bug. According to The Sun, Courtois faces a race against time to be fit for Chelsea’s game with Swansea on Saturday.

The Chelsea goalkeeper was to appear on French TV show Telefoot on Sunday morning but had to cancel last minute – leaving the broadcasters furious.

Telefoot presenters Christian Jeanpierre and Frederic Calenge said: “All we can say is that to let us know like that at the very last minute is not very ‘Courtois’.”

The station’s editor-in-chief Marc Ambrosiano tweeted: “Unfortunately Thibaut Courtois is suffering from gastroenteritis, and has had to withdraw from appearing on Telefoot this morning.

“We wish him a speedy recovery.”

Hopefully, Courtois will be okay for this weekend’s fixture against Swansea.
