Cesc Fabregas has lost his shirt to Nemanja Matic in midfield, as Blues boss Antonio Conte prefers a midfield combination of Kante and Matic ahead of the Spaniard.
The 29-year-old revealed that he didn’t take to the decision at first, as he was very upset and warned people about talking to him about it.
“In the beginning when I didn’t play, I told people not even to speak to me because I was really upset,” he admitted after a man-of-the-match performance against Paul Clement’s side.
“I can understand there are doubts with the philosophy of the manager.
“He came in, wanted to see if I could adapt and I can understand that. I’m someone who wants to play with the ball, maybe not so much the defensive side.
He then revealed that he has adapted more to the manager’s philosophy and will begin to play more.
“But it shows I adapted to the way he wants to play and hopefully I can play more,” Fabregas said.
