Before the game on Saturday, Chelsea haven’t won Swansea in the last three meetings. The Blues have found it very difficult in those three meetings – losing one and drawing two.
It felt like Deja Vu when Fernando Llorente headed that ball in, and to everyone at Chelsea, it felt like a familiar story.
Speaking about Llorente’s goal just before half-time, Cesc Fabregas said: “We had so many chances and we were playing very well. I don’t think it was a free-kick to be honest – it was a very soft one for them. It was one of the few chances they could score, and they did, so after that we had to show fight, character and pride, and we did that.
“I’m happy with everything – the victory and three points was very important. We have to take it game by game and it’s not easy, but hopefully now we can keep it going for a long time.
“It’s important to keep winning because the more you win, the less you have to worry about the other teams. There’s belief and we just have to get three points after three points.”
