Diego Costa has been in fine form this season, and has already bagged in 15 Premier League goals.
The 28-year-old is an important part of Antonio Conte’s team, and he has helped Chelsea to top of the table with his goals and performances.
That aside, Sky Sports pundit Ally McInally has revealed his surprise at Diego Costa’s pace. The pundit admitted that Costa is actually faster than he imagined.
“[With his anger] I think he’s managed to curtail things a little bit,” McInally told Sky Sports.
“I think if you ask any defender who they do not want to play against, it’s Diego Costa.
“Because he does have the edge on them, that ‘I don’t know whether I’m gonna be punched in the face here or he’s gonna hold me off or do a trick on me’.
“And funnily enough, he’s a little quicker than I thought. He’s got a lot more to his game than me saying he’s an angry man.
“Over a couple of yards, when he’s on his game, he is lightning quick. And I think that makes him even more difficult.
“And the way Chelsea are playing at the moment, they’re looking to get him on all the time. If Chelsea win the game, Costa usually scores.”
