While Chelsea will be buoyed following the 1-1 draw at Anfield, Arsene Wenger’s men are looking to bounce back from Tuesday’s shock 2-1 defeat at home to Watford.
Many people expect Chelsea to beat Arsenal on Saturday, and many believe the league will be won on Saturday, if Chelsea can take all 3 points.
However, for Blues legend Marcel Desailly, it doesn’t matter if Chelsea win or draw, what matters most is the team’s consistency, as the title race nears its end.
He told FourFourTwo: “If you lose against Watford it is difficult to get the state of mind for winning to straight away compete against Chelsea.
“For Chelsea it is not crucial, you prepare for the game normally. Yes it’s an important game, a derby, but it is not something crucial for Chelsea, winning and losing.
“The important thing is to have consistency throughout the rest of the season. Then you are sure to win the league in that case.”
