Cesar Azpilicueta has probably been the most consistent Chelsea player for the past three seasons, although he’s one of the unsung heroes in the team.
No matter the position he plays, he gives hundred percent, and Jose Mourinho once claimed a team of 11 Cesar Azpilicuetas could win the Champions League. Antonio Conte sees him as a future Chelsea legend and even his teammates have acknowledged that he’s the most hardworking player in the team.
The 27-year-old has admitted that he wants to be a legend at the club, but he’d have to win many trophies to reach that height.
“I’m pleased for those words but to become a Chelsea legend you have to win trophies,” he said.
“I have won the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup – I don’t know how many it would take, but some players have won Champions League and other trophies, and you want to get up there with them. At the moment it is going well.
“But we want more and we are working on that. Now we are in a good position for the final sprint.”
