It was a very hot afternoon for Brighton U18 side as they fell down to a Chelsea onslaught.

Jody Morris’s men were in rampant mode as they scored 13 past Brighton’s goalkeeper without conceding a single goal.

Morris made five changes from our last league outing, a 3-0 win away at Leicester last weekend that sealed the Under-18 Premier League south section title, and it did little to kill the flow, rather it was one-way traffic for the Blues youth team.

Conor Gallagher opened the scoring for Chelsea U18 15 minutes into the game, and there was a hatrick for Martell Taylor-Crossdale in 20th, 28th and 55th minute respectively. Luke McCormick scored from the spot in the 36th minute and another in the 69th minute before completing his hatrick with about 9 minutes left.

Cole Dasilva started the second-half onslaught just after the restart, and Charlie Brown bagged four despite only coming off the bench for the final half-hour.

The win is probably Chelsea’s U18 biggest ever win and completes our home fixtures in the regional programme. The final game is next weekend away at West Ham before the start of the elite play-off round to determine the national league champions.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
