Ahead of the screening of the autobiography of Chelsea great Kerry Dixon named Legends Lives – Kerry Dixon, which will premiere at London’s Sanctum Soho hotel this Friday, Chelsea captain John Terry has talked about the influence Dixon had on his career.
“When I was coming through, he was a big legend at the football club,” Terry said.
“He was a fabulous ambassador for the football club because of what he achieved in terms of his great goalscoring record.
“He is a great man as well. He welcomed me when I was coming up through the ranks, and he continued to be a big part of that when I was developing.”
Dixon scored 193 goals for Chelsea during his time at Chelsea after joining from Reading in 1983.
