Venue: Molineux Stadium

Chelsea are away to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup fifth round, and it’s a game between Premier League table toppers and Championship strugglers.

On paper, it might be a mismatch, but for Wolves to have stunned Liverpool in the fifth round, Antonio Conte and Chelsea must take the game seriously.

In the last six games, Chelsea have won 4 and drawn 2 in all competitions, while Wolves have been struggling for form, having lost 4 of their last 6 games and won only 2 in all competitions. Wolves are struggling for form, and have lost their last 3 games.

This is the fourth FA Cup tie between Wolves and Chelsea, the last coming in 1994 when the Blues won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, and in their most recent meeting, Chelsea won 6-0 in the League Cup in 2012.

Wolves are perpetual strugglers in the FA Cup, and the last time they won a home match against Premier League opposition in the FA Cup was a 3-2 third-round victory over Newcastle in 2002-03.

However, Wolves seem to be the giant killers in this season’s competition, as they have won Stoke City and Liverpool on route to the FA Cup fifth round.

Chelsea’s defence in the last 10 games have been rock solid, as the Blues have kept 7 clean sheets in those 10 games.

My Prediction: Chelsea will carry the day in this fixture, and will win by a two-goal margin. Wolves 0 vs Chelsea 2
