The transfer of Branislav Ivanovic to Zenit St Petersburg has now been confirmed by Chelsea.

Ivanovic leaves Chelsea after nine wonderful years at Chelsea that saw him win two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one Europa League, three FA Cups and one League Cup.

Ivanovic joined Chelsea in 2008 from Lokomotiv Moscow and established himself at right back. He also filled in effortlessly at central defence.

Ivanovic made his Chelsea debut in a League Cup win at Portsmouth in 2008. Ivanovic won the hearts of Chelsea fans in 2008 when his two headers helped Chelsea to a crucial 3-1 Champions League victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Ivanovic was a key member of the squad in our title winning campaign of 2014/15. He played all 38 league games for Chelsea that season. He was also one of the six Chelsea players named in the Team of the Season that year.

32-year-old Ivanovic ended his Chelsea career in style, scoring against Brentford at Stamford in his last game for Chelsea.

Ivanovic made 377 appearances for Chelsea and scored 34 times.

Good bye to a legend. Ivanovic will always be a TRUE BLUE.
