Antonio Conte’s men showed their desire to lift the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
Chelsea are now through to the last 8 of the competition, and only 3 matches separate Chelsea from being FA Cup champions.
See how the players fared in this game:
Begovic: Didn’t really have much to do in goal today, but he manned his post very well and handled all the crosses impressively. 7/10
Zouma: Solid as a rock in defence, and didn’t take anything for granted. Showing with his performances that he’s ready to stake a claim in the first team. 7/10
Terry: The captain was in the centre of the back three, and you’d have to admit that Chelsea’s defence looked pretty solid despite how threatening Wolves were. 7/10
Ake: Started as a centre-back and switched in the latter part of the second-half to a left wing-back position, and he played both roles really well. 7.5/10
Fabregas: The master passer showed his superiority in the passing department although his lack of work rate showed as Paul Lambert’s men overworked our midfield. His pass from deep for Diego Costa led to the first goal, and his one-two with Kante led to the second goal. All through the game he kept on dishing the passes across the pitch. 7.5/10
Chalobah: Worked hard for the team in the middle of the park, and put in a good shift against a very hardworking Wolves team. 7/10
Moses: Tireless in his running on the right flank, and looked very dangerous when going forward. Was always an outlet for the team on the right side. 7/10
Pedro: Another productive FA Cup performance from the Spaniard. Despite starting as a wing-back again in the FA Cup, he found the net for Chelsea, scoring the team’s first goal, and making it easier for Chelsea to play their game. His run and positioning for the goal was excellent. Threatened a lot when coming from deep, before being substituted for Azpilicueta. 8/10
Willian: Worked tirelessly for the team, and his assist for Pedro’s goal was exquisite. 7.5/10
Hazard: Was involved in the buildup to the first goal, and he had some exciting spells with the ball. 7/10
Costa: Was involved in the buildup to the first goal, and showed striker’s instinct to score the second goal. Not the most dominant of displays, but he produced when it mattered most. 8/10
Azpilicueta: Replaced Pedro in the second half, and immediately made his presence felt as the left flank became pretty solid. 7/10
Kante: Replaced Willian in the 80th minute to help shore up the midfield, and his one-two touch with Fabregas led to the second goal scored by Diego Costa. 7/10
Loftus-Cheek: Came on for Hazard with just 4 minutes left of normal time.
