Burnley prevented Chelsea from registering their 20th win in 25 games in the league this season. The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, despite going ahead in the 7th minute through Pedro.

Speaking after the game, Conte admitted that it was a tough one.

He said: “It was a tough game but we knew this situation. I said Burnley at home are one team and away they are another team. When you analyse the fact 28 points of their 29 [before today’s game] were won at home they are tough here.

“Despite this we must be very disappointed because we started very well and scored. Then they scored with the free-kick.

“In the second half we tried to show our strength to win the game but it didn’t happen. It’s a pity but we tried to play football and create chances against a strong team.”
