Reports claim that Chelsea have begun talks over a summer deal for highly rated Monaco’s attacking midfielder, Bernardo Silva.

According to the Sunday Times, the 22-year-old is valued at €80m (£68.4m) and is also attracting interest from Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old, who is rated at nearly £70 million, is top of Chelsea’s list – with the club “initiating discussions” with the player’s representatives.

Silva has been a key player for Monaco this season as the club sit three points clear at the top of Ligue 1. He has scored eight goals and registered five in 33 appearances for Monaco so far this campaign.

The reports claim Antonio Conte is pushing for the deal to happen ahead of next season’s Champions League.
