Former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku, was a subject of heavy interest from Chelsea during the summer, but Everton held strong to their prized asset.
However, it appears that the Merseyside club are prepared to sell the Belgian to Chelsea this summer.
Everton are said to have sent their scouts to watch Ilija Nestorovski during Palermo’s 4-1 defeat to Juventus on Friday. He’s seen as a possible replacement for star forward Lukaku, if he makes a switch to Chelsea.
Reports had it that Lukaku was interested in the move to Stamford Bridge last season, and he believes he has unfinished business at the club.
Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola recently suggested the Belgian is open to penning a new deal at Goodison Park but a big-money offer could perhaps tempt Everton to sell, and Everton will reportedly look to recruit £17million-rated Nestorovski in the summer should Lukaku complete a return to the Premier League leaders.
Welcome back Lukaku, Chelsea is meant for you and not any team else.
