Kurt Zouma’s progress was cut short when he suffered an injury against Manchester United back in February 2016, that kept him out of the first team for almost a year.
The 22-year-old is fit now and has returned to the Chelsea first team, but has been unable to break into the team, as Antonio Conte prefers a back three of Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill – and to their credit they have delivered for Conte this season.
Zouma has recently stated that he wouldn’t want to be on the bench next season, and this could see him leave the club on loan at the end of the season.
According to Bleacher Report, Conte is now considering letting the 22-year-old leave Chelsea on loan next season if he can’t convince him with his performances between now and May.
Will Zouma reach the great heights that he was destined for? Only time will tell.
